The trip
Are you fond of motors and vintage cars? Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ducati are all from Italian region Emilia-Romagna! Here you can find a long itinerary called Motor Valley which runs along the old Roman Via Emilia, full of temples of vintage and sport cars. Maranello is home to a legend: Ferrari! The Ferrari Museum isn’t a normal museum at all, but some kind of Ferrari “sanctuary”, a veritable gallery where the exhibits alternate. Another jewel is Panini Museum, which shows an unique collection of vintage and classic vehicles and motorcycles, included a collection of some of the most important Maserati in the world. How did the Italian city of Modena end up being the motor capital of Italy and of the entire world? It wouldn’t be a true Italia Slow Tour without local food. How about some Parmigiano Reggiano paired with Aceto Balsamico di Modena?

DAY 1: In the morning, you’ll visit a dairy to see how the Parmigiano Reggiano is prepared and to have a taste of this product, here prepared organically. After, visit of Panini Motor Museum, a private collection of the most beautiful sport cars. Free lunch. Afternoon dedicated to the visit of Ferrari Maranello Museum, where you’ll discover the origin of one of the most iconic sport car ever. Check-in in Modena. Dinner in a local restaurant where you’ll have a first taste of the typical Aceto Balsamico di Modena paired with splendidly prepared meat. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Morning dedicated to the guided visit of Lamborghini Museum to discover the story and the best vehicles produced by the Ferrari’s rival. Later, visit of a nearby vinegar, where you’ll have the chance to see with your own eyes how one of the Italian iconic products is prepared, tasting some delicacies at the same time.
